Nowadays I usually stick to the prepackaged coleslaw mix. It&#8217;s a bit more colorful with the purple cabbage, green cabbage, and carrots all mixed together. Plus, there&#8217;s less clean-up time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the base you will need:<br>shredded carrots (you can buy them already shredded in the produce section)<br>Coleslaw mix. If you have the time and the ingredients there&#8217;s no reason not to shred the veggies up yourself and make a true made from scratch recipe for homemade coleslaw. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ll have to confess that I am a mess in the kitchen, and buying the bagged mix saves me so much time.
